Anime Expeditions Beginner Guide: First Hour Route
First-hour Anime Expeditions route: lobby, codes, Beginner Path tickets, story farms, and what not to waste. Start here, then lock one mythic.
Current for Update 1.0 (Warriors Saga).
First 15 minutes
- You spawn in the middle of the lobby. An arrow points you at True Saint. That NPC starts Beginner Path. You can also open the same track from the Events tab.
- Pick a starter unit and ignore it. Do not spend rerolls on starters.
- Open Events → Release Calendar before story. Claim the daily row (rerolls, gems, and the free unit on that calendar day). Calendar contents change — read today’s strip, then claim.
- Claim anything already sitting on the Events tab, including extra event stages.
Redeem today’s codes
Open the top-left three-dot menu → Redeemable Codes. The click path is on How to Redeem Anime Expeditions Codes.
Redeem only the Active strings on Anime Expeditions Codes. Those names today are update1, 2.5mgroup!, and patch1.0. Launch-week names (release, Expeditions, 100k!, sorry-for-bugs) are dead. Do not type them.
After codes, spend the gems on summons. Do not sit on the pile.
Beginner Path and the first mythic
Beginner Path has five pages. Each finished page pays beginner tickets. Those tickets open the Beginners banner.
- 10 tickets = one 10-summon on the Beginners banner.
- 25 tickets per finished page.
- Pity: a mythic after five 10-pulls (50 ticket summons). Pages 1 and 2 already guarantee that first mythic.
Finish story chapters 1–2 for those tickets, then you can pause later chapters.
Gem banner (not the ticket banner): 500 gems for a 10-summon. Read the button before you tap it.
An early quest asks you to summon 10 units, then awards Stone Alchemist. Do that 10-pull even if the random units look weak. Stone Alchemist is the farm you use for chapters 1–2.
Standard banner shows three featured units and rotates in about an hour. Mini banner shows one featured unit and refreshes faster (about 10–15 minutes). Mini is a worse shot at one named mythic.
Story in hour one
Clear maps in this order: School Grounds → Flower Forest → Rose Kingdom → Fairy King Forest → King’s Tomb.
Clear Normal for first-clear rewards, then come back for Hard. Hard has its own first-clears and better payouts. If a stage has stars, each star pays 1 reroll. Some 3-star goals ask you to delete or debuff 50 enemies.
If a Normal stage stops you, matchmake. Do not force a solo wipe.
Farms, gems, traits, gold
Keep Stone Alchemist (Epic, Physical, generates in-stage credits) and Ramen Guy (Legendary). Put Investor on the farm. Investor is +25% income. Stone Alchemist base income is 550.
Where to roll: Areas (purple menu) is the trait and stat desk. Mythic traits in the Index include a one-placement unique-style trait, Primordial (damage), a crit trait, and a DoT trait that also cuts cost. Hold the roll button to auto-roll.
Stats: Stat Potential uses letter grades up to Z. Extra worthiness returns to the bar. Roll toward A / green (SS sits above A), lock a good line, and save leftover rolls for later units.
XP: open the unit → Upgrade Unit and feed XP items. Farm income does not scale with level, so dump XP on damage units. Some evolutions also need a level gate.
Index: claiming Index entries pays gems and trait rerolls. Claim them.
Gold Shop: gold buys stat locks/rerolls, equipment locks/rerolls, sprites, trait crystals, and XP food. Stock rotates. Check prices in-game.
Team types: mix Storm / Magic / Physical. Some stages favor a type. Six copies of the highest rarity is the wrong first team.
Ascension: extra mythic copies go into Ascension for damage, not into the sell button. This is a mythic-only track. Example craft: Elf Mage 1-star needs 3 extra copies + 2 sprites.
Do not do this in hour one
- Do not type launch-week code names.
- Do not sell duplicate mythics.
- Do not empty your trait-reroll bag on the first mythic. Secrets outscale mythics. Save rolls for secrets.
- Do not spend XP on the farm unit.
- Do not skip matchmaking when you are stuck.
- Do not chase Doflamingo as a first banner target.
What to chase
Get Cursed Student on Beginners-banner pity. Put Primordial on him and Investor on Ramen Guy.
Diane (Lady Giant) and Elf Mage clear early story. They are not your endgame core. Gal is the damage-plus-support pull if the banner shows him. Salmon is support with no early damage. Freya is AoE, not an endgame core. Skip Doflamingo.
After the first mythic, follow the unit tier list. Update 1.0 keepers are Prodigy, Dark Mage, and Puppet.
Expeditions (not hour one)
Expeditions stay closed until level 20. After that it is a payload-style mode with three difficulties. Lobby traits are stripped. Defense is easier than Assault. Leave it closed until the gate opens.
After the first hour
- Regular Challenge every 30 minutes for sprites used to evolve mythics.
- Release Tournament pays Toy Maker just for playing, including a loss, while that event is up.
- Finish Hard story, then the Spirit City raid for 8th Sword. Weekly raid-shop rerolls refill from there. See the raid guide and the gem farm.
